Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers

Trapeze is also proud to participate in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, more widely known as the IEEE. Trapeze contributes to the IEEE as voting members of the 802.11 working group as well as being active participants of the following task groups and study groups:

802.11i - Security Task Group
802.11e - Quality of Service Task Group
802.11k - Radio Resource Measurement Task Group
802.11j - Wireless Standards in Japan Task Group
802.11n - High-Throughput Task Group

Internet Engineering Task Force
Trapeze is an active participant in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), an international community of network designers, operators, vendors and researchers who contribute to the engineering and evolution of standards specifications for the Internet.

OpenSEA Alliance
The OpenSEA Alliance was founded by Trapeze Networks with other leading technology companies in 2007 to develop an enterprise-grade open source 802.1X client. The alliance releases source code that can be run, studied, and changed by users, and sets direction for the project to support its user community. In addition to founding the OpenSEA Alliance, Trapeze has a seat on both the board of directors and the engineering steering committee.

Trusted Computing Group
Trapeze Networks is a Contributor Member of The Trusted Computing Group (TCG). TCG is a not-for-profit organization formed to develop, define, and promote open standards for hardware-enabled trusted computing and security technologies, including hardware building blocks and software interfaces, across multiple platforms, peripherals, and devices.

Within TCG, Trapeze is an active participant in the Trusted Network Connect (TNC) Work Group. The TNC has defined and released an open architecture and a growing set of standards for endpoint integrity. The TNC architecture enables network operators to enforce policies regarding endpoint integrity at or after network connection. The standards ensure multi-vendor interoperability across a wide variety of endpoints, network technologies, and policies.
