TRAPEZE NETWORKS WINS THE TECHWORLD WIRELESS AND MOBILITY AWARD FOR BEST WIRELESS PRODUCT

PLEASANTON, Calif. ? June 28, 2005 ? Trapeze Networks?, maker of the award-winning wireless LAN (WLAN) Mobility System?, today announced that it has received yet another prestigious award for best 2005 wireless product at the Techworld network awards ceremony last Wednesday evening, June 22nd for its wireless remote branch office Mobility Exchange? MXR-2? solution introduced last fall.

The Techworld network awards recognize the very best in every field of the network industry and reward the leading individuals, teams and companies for innovative and effective use of networking and telecommunications technology.

The panel of judges consisted of leading UK networking technology analysts and editors including Techworld's Maxwell Cooter, Peter Judge and Manek Dubash, and independent industry experts Steve Broadhead and Dave Mitchell. The winners were announced at a ceremony at the Brewery in London, England.

Featuring a "no-touch," drop-ship deployment model, the MXR-2 significantly reduces the effort required to deploy WLANs at remote sites, which often lack technical resources. Remote installation of the MXR-2 simply entails plugging it into the branch office network. Branch WLAN switch configurations are downloaded from headquarters using the Trapeze RingMaster? software tool suite. Even very complex configurations can be easily created, replicated and customized for individual MXR-2s, and then downloaded to worldwide branch offices with the click of a mouse.

"Trapeze Networks spotted a market need for a branch office wireless LAN switch," said Peter Judge, mobility and wireless editor at Techworld. "The company put together the right features in the MXR-2 making it our top choice for best wireless product of 2005."

"Winning this prestigious award is a testament to the market and technology leadership of Trapeze Networks," said Kees van Veenendaal, EMEA vice president and managing director for Trapeze. "It is an honor to receive such widespread recognition by industry experts while we continue to build extraordinary business momentum with our customers and partners worldwide."
