Trapeze Networks and D-Link Team Up to Offer New Wireless Switch for Small and Medium Businesses Worldwide

LAS VEGAS, NV — May 3, 2005 — Trapeze Networks™, the award-winning provider of the enterprise wireless LAN (WLAN) Mobility System™, today announced that D-Link, the global leader in the design and development of connectivity and communications technologies, will license its Mobility System Software™ that will be integrated into a new product offering called the D-Link AirPremier Wireless Switch.

In March of this year, Trapeze and D-Link announced a partnership agreement focused on the co-development of enterprise-level wireless networking solutions through a series of licensing and engineering projects. This agreement involved Trapeze selling a newly designed D-Link access point that is fully compatible with the recently announced Trapeze Open Access Point Initiative (OAPI). The next phase of this partnership, announced today, includes the licensing of Trapeze's software for the new D-Link wireless switch.

"By licensing our Mobility System Software to D-Link, Trapeze gains a new channel to sell into," said Ahmet Tuncay, vice president of business development at Trapeze Networks. "D-Link has a large installed base of customers in the small- and medium-business sector and this partnership gives us more leverage to go after these types of customers."

"Trapeze's Mobility System Software gives us the robust features we need, including secure mobility, policy enforcement and AAA services, with easy installation and operation," said Keith Karlsen, executive vice president of D-Link. "With the Trapeze partnership, we can now offer our SMB customers a complete, secure and scalable wireless solution."
