TRAPEZE NETWORKS OPENS TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CENTER IN EUROPE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF ITS GROWING LIST OF CUSTOMERS AND PARTNERS
PLEASANTON, Calif. — June 1, 2004 — Trapeze Networks™, maker of the award-winning wireless LAN (WLAN) Mobility System™, today expanded its presence in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region by announcing the opening of its Technical Assistance Center (TAC) in Hilversum, the Netherlands.
The Trapeze EMEA TAC is staffed with experienced WLAN engineers, technical consultants and training personnel. Providing first- and second-tier 24-x-7 support, the EMEA TAC will assist channel partners who are deploying the Trapeze WLAN Mobility System at customer sites and data centers throughout the region.
"We're delighted that Trapeze has opened a local support center" said David Grant, co-founder and managing director of Bedrock Networks, a long-time Trapeze system integrator in the UK. "The local technical support from Trapeze is an excellent complement to Bedrock's engineering expertise."
"Trapeze's EMEA support center is good news for TGS Telonic and its customers," said Andreas Schlechter, managing director of TGS Telonic GmbH, one of Trapeze's largest system integrators in Germany. "We have seen spectacular enterprise WLAN growth, and the Trapeze Mobility System is incredibly popular with our customers. As this growth continues, it will be beneficial to have the Trapeze TAC in our time zone."
With the opening of the Trapeze TAC, EMEA channel partners now have access to a comprehensive range of technical services that are designed to better address vital business requirements and accommodate regional needs, including:
- Technical support staff skilled in multiple languages, including Dutch, German, French and English
- Technical toll-free telephone support available on a 24-x-7-x-365 basis
"At Trapeze, our priority is to provide world-class technical support and services to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and success," said Kees van Veenendaal, vice president of sales and managing director of the Trapeze EMEA region. "Our new TAC enables us to quickly resolve technical issues and strengthen our relationship with channel partners and customers across the region."
Trapeze also announced that networking veteran Rene van Zijl joined the company as EMEA service and support manager. Before Trapeze, Van Zijl ran Alcatel's EMEA service and support center and held service and support management roles at 3Com and Xylan.
