TRAPEZE NETWORKS HIRES VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TO FURTHER STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

Ahmet Tuncay Brings 18 years Data and Voice Networking Experience

PLEASANTON, Calif. — April, 19, 2004 — Trapeze Networks™, the award winning global provider of the wireless LAN (WLAN) Mobility System™, today announced the hiring of Ahmet Tuncay as its new Vice President of Business Development.

Tuncay will focus on extending Trapeze's strategic relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners, Wireless System Integrators, Value Added Resellers (VARs) and complimentary technology companies who focus on offering enterprise customers best-in-class WLAN infrastructure, applications and services. Tuncay has eighteen years of corporate enterprise and startup experience in business development, product development, product management, technical marketing and sales support. He's worked for established companies including Electronic Data Systems (EDS), SynOptics Communications, Bay Networks and PairGain Technologies which was acquired by ADC Telecom. More recently, he co-founded SolarFlare Communications, a fabless semiconductor startup in Irvine, CA. He holds an M.S.E.E and a B.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S.C.S in Computer Science.
