ITN CHOOSES TELINDUS AND TRAPEZE NETWORKS FOR WIRELESS NETWORK

Secure mobility solution allows news to get on air faster

PLEASANTON, Calif. — January 20, 2004 — Independent Television News (ITN) has chosen pan-European network solutions and services provider Telindus to implement the Trapeze Networks™ wireless local area network (WLAN) Mobility System.™

The Trapeze Mobility System, which has been deployed in two offices and one news-studio using five Mobility Points, will give greater freedom and flexibility to journalists as they work to get news on the air. ITN is also using the Trapeze RingMaster™ tool suite to manage and optimize the performance of the WLAN infrastructure.

"Our business is dictated by world events, and we often need to get equipment into the studio at short notice. Cables, wires and network cards frequently get damaged in the process," said Ian Auger, head of IT and communications at ITN.
