TRAPEZE SMART MOBILE WIRELESS NETWORKING
ENABLES STAFF OF THREE TO MANAGE MULTI-CAMPUS IMPLEMENTATION
PLEASANTON, Calif., March 24, 2008 — Trapeze Networks®, the award-winning provider of Smart Mobile™ wireless solutions, today announced that California’s Solano Community College selected Trapeze for its wireless LAN infrastructure. The network serves more than 12,000 students and 700 faculty and staff in 20 buildings spread across three locations just north of San Francisco.
IT Director Jim Ennis and his team selected a Trapeze solution that includes Mobility Exchange™ intelligent WLAN controllers, Mobility Point™ access points and the RingMaster® Enterprise Wi-Fi Management Suite for centrally located planning, configuring, deploying, monitoring and optimizing the wireless network.
Justin Howell, a network telecommunications staff member at Solano, said “From day one we were sold on RingMaster. We knew it would be easy to add access points, SSIDs and profiles, and we knew we would be able to control everything remotely. RingMaster also makes it simple to obtain real-time statistics we need for management of the WLAN.”
Ennis and his team have received much praise for implementing the network. “The whole implementation has been painless. We have a small staff that is able to manage what is becoming quite a large wireless implementation,” said Ennis. “We like Trapeze’s solution because it helps us to be in ten places at once – virtually, anyway.”
