TRAPEZE NETWORKS ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER TO HELP FURTHER EXPAND THE COMPANY?S GROWING GLOBALIZATION OPERATIONS

PLEASANTON, Calif. - Oct. 27, 2003 - To shore up its growing business globalization efforts, Trapeze Networks™ today announced that Al Sadler, vice president of operations, was promoted to chief operating officer and that Mike Banic, director of product marketing, was promoted to vice president of worldwide marketing.

Al Sadler has more than 25 years of senior operations and management experience at a wide range of networking companies. Before Trapeze, Sadler was chief operating officer and vice president of operations at Alidian Networks, vice president of operations at Alantec/FORE Systems and at Assured Access Technology, where he was responsible for manufacturing, quality control and customer service.

"As chief operating officer, Al is the perfect person to manage the day-to-day operations of our business," said Jim Flach, Trapeze president and chief executive officer. "This will enable me to focus more on expanding our global presence throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions."

Mike Banic replaces retiring marketing vice president George Prodan, who will remain a strategic advisor to Trapeze. Banic has a wealth of technical marketing, public relations and marketing communications expertise. Before Trapeze, he was director of product management at Rhapsody Networks and product line manager at Extreme Networks, where he managed the product lifecycle for all chassis switches.

"A year ago, we set out to build a topflight marketing organization and make a huge impact in launching the company," said Prodan. "We achieved these goals, having successfully launched Trapeze in April and assembling a smart, aggressive team of seasoned marketing professionals. I've worked with Mike Banic for over 10 years and he is primed for this role."
