DUNCAN REGIONAL HOSPITAL PROVIDES WIRELESS ACCESS TO DOCTORS, NURSES, STAFF, PATIENTS AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITY THROUGH TRAPEZE NETWORKS WIRELESS MOBILITY SYSTEM

PLEASANTON, Calif. May 8, 2006 - Trapeze Networks™, the award-winning provider of the wireless LAN (WLAN) Mobility System™, today announced it has been chosen by Duncan Regional Hospital for its campus-wide wireless installation.

Duncan Regional Hospital has a state-wide reputation as one of the premier Oklahoma hospitals for medical excellence, advanced technology and nationally recognized high levels of patient satisfaction. The hospital is located in southwest Oklahoma in the city of Duncan. Duncan Regional Hospital is a 167-bed nationally accredited hospital with a staff of over 900.

In order to meet Duncan Regional's goal of helping all people in their community maintain and improve their health, the hospital's IT staff is always striving for excellence and improvements to how they run their hospital. To meet these high expectations and patient satisfaction, Duncan's CIO decided to add a wireless network to ensure efficiency for their doctors, nurses and staff and also to provide wireless services to all patients and members of their community.

Duncan Regional Hospital's campus consists of multiple hospital buildings as well as a large conference center and cafeteria. The conference center is used for such services as educational outreach classes for the community and health fairs, while the cafeteria will be used as a hot spot for employees and anyone from the community who wants to get free access to the Internet.

"The ultimate reason we went with Trapeze was because of the flexibility of their product line," said Roger Neal, CIO for Duncan Regional Hospital. "We use the Trapeze Mobility System today for data only but plan to add voice services in the near future. We also like the fact that Trapeze's products are the easiest to manage, have the most security features, and the best price point."

Many of Duncan Regional's physicians work offsite. Providing a WLAN in order for them to have access to their tablet PCs and PDAs and eventually voice services has become mission critical in their day to day operations. Many of the hospitals applications are running over the WLAN including their Meditech Healthcare Information System, PACS for digital x-rays, digital fetal monitoring system and all of their emergency room documentation.

"Installing Trapeze's Mobility System has proven to be one of the best things we have done in making our operations run more efficiently. Being able to provide the community with a desirable reason to come visit the hospital besides when visiting a sick loved one is an added plus," concluded Neal.
